RandyC Posted October 10, 2003 Share Posted October 10, 2003 I used to support the Boks for many years having played alot of Rugby (as a 2nd row forward) when I lived over there as a kid. But after the match last year with England with all the bad sportsmanship shown by the Boks I am backing England. Thats all we need ... some of the football like behaviour spoiling a sport which prides itself on sportsmanship and fairplay. As far as the racisum being highlighted in the Boks it was going to happen, you can hardly expect in 9 years that many of the preduces are going to be overcome. And as the BBC pointed out yesterday that both sides (the Boers and the Blacks), are both making things difficult for each other. Well the ex-PR guy for the Boks highlighted it very well on his interview on the television. He quit just two weeks ago because of this issue. I know personally that I didn't once see a black guy playing on my school team when I lived in Midrand.
