About:

Reset is a single player co-op first person puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. If Reset was a movie, it would definitely be a Sundance movie. When I say story, I don?t mean long and elaborate cutscenes but a bit different approach to storytelling in games. More on that during the coming development coverage.

?Single player co-op?? you ask. The unique game mechanic in Reset is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles co-operatively, with yourself. Confusing? Light will be shed.

We are using and developing our own proprietary technology aptly dubbed Praxis.

That looks really interesting. Thanks for the heads up. I look forward to the trailer on the 25th. I hope they show some gameplay because I'm really intrigued by the time travel game mechanic.

So that sounds like that Super Time Force game that's being worked on right now. Except that one is (another) retro 8/16-bit inspired 2D side scrolling platformer shoot-em up kind of game. And you can have literally 30 of your own doods running around the level with you. This game looks way better and I'd like to see how they incorporate that game mechanic into a 1st person viewpoint.

Also, when I saw the thread title I was like, wow they are making a Hard Reset prequel already?!? :D

Damn, that was pretty good. The graphics engine is quite impressive. I was impressed with the time lapse part which showed trees and other plants growing.

I agree that the initial shots look really good, but for some reason I can immediately see every polygon in that trailer. The trees are super low poly and obvious and when they do a closeup of the robots hands they are very clearly all texture. The environment itself is also drastically simplified and relies heavily on particles/vfx to make it look realistic. Most of the geometry in the trailer is somewhat tailored to be polygonal anyways, it doesn't really do a good job of displaying organic shapes.

I think its impressive but nothing beyond what's out there already. Then again I may just be missing what this really is trying to demonstrate.
