chrisbax
Any news about the 32 bit version?? :( For the developers... I even noticed a bug... After changing the screen resolution, the program fails to work and the the taskbar is no longer shown under the Start menu (when using the option "fit to screen")... It is necessary to enter in the program again, and click "apply" one more time... A simple workaround should be that the program will automatically apply again its task (what has to be done manually in this release)... Moreover, when the program is launched at startup, it is shown a window for a little time, that become a longer time for less powerful PCs... It is not a critic, I only hope to be useful to the development of the program... thanks
chrisbax
Any news? I think this program should make Windows 8 more user friendly, but is only for 64 bit users!!!
1WayJonny
Really like this program but have an issue to report. I have an issue where the start menu will not appear on the bottom. When I select BOTTOM (any size) the menu appears in the mid screen, not matter what I do it will not appear near the bottom, the top works fine though. I am using a desktop DPI of 150% and experience the issue.

I have tried a few DPI settings over 100% and the issue still happens not matter the setting except 100%. I really like the program good job, please try to knock on the DPI issue. Azies
You know, with this you could emulate the original start menu and have it come up in the lower left?

I am using Windows 8 Pro 32-Bit the newest Version 1.2 isn't working i get the message : this app can't run on your PC the earlier version i think 1b is working but after restart it doesn't start with the saved settings and i get the normal startmenu. I really want this app working i googled like hell for the problem but found nothing.
Mathan79
This app is great. The full screen + taskbar is nice option. Is it possible to make the start screen stay without switching to regular desktop. It is like having the start screen as desktop along with taskbar, start menu etc... I'm so damn lucky to have found an alternative called ImmersiveTaille v2 that is do exactly the same thing as Start Menu Modifier or maybe StartIsBack (except the start menu). It works for my Windows 8.1 32-bit. Download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/immersivetaille/?source=directory
Punk 32
The app is really cool but can you release another version that could dock it to left and right side of the screen.
DConnell Member Posted May 1, 2014 Member Share Posted May 1, 2014 Looks great, although I'm quite happy with the Screen. I'd love to see something like this for 7, so I don't have to use the menu at work.
MorganX
Some people see going backwards as progression. Including Microsoft who should be returning the Start Menu in 8.1U2. For this reason, people use it and it's very productive. I do like MS' implementation as it has been shown so far in previews. There's a reason MS is bringing it back, and a reason for apps like this ... the Start Menu works, and removing it was a giant leap backwards as far as desktop/keyboard/mouse/MDI/Multitasking/Data-centric computing goes.
