I read that post, I just decided not to comment on the thread because you were spot on in your reply to your daughter. There are good and bad people, but their sexual preference isn't what makes them good or bad. And so again I ask, why does it matter what people categorise homosexuality as? Why can't people just accept that it exists and move on with their lives?

(not directed to you specifically, but why do we need to call it anything other than love between two human beings? As for my position on Gay Marriage: I think Marriage is a religious institution and being such has no place in government at all. I realize that would take a lot to adjust to from where we are now, but it is ridiculous the more and more I think about it. But with marriage being what it is, I don't see why we shouldn't recognize same-sex-unions when it comes to next-of-kin type decisions. If I were single with no family and wanted to name my neighbor next-of-kin I should be able to w/o marriage being involved...its stupid)
