I don't know if everyone is aware of this , but the Calculator app on windows phone shows trignometric functions on rotating screen to left while rotating the phone to right would show you computer operations. I was amazed seeing this approach ! iOS does have a scientific calculator mode one rotating the screen but has a button which shows more operations , but this one seemed to be cooler :p Just wanted to share it with you guys :)

It's the same for Android as well, although with some different features:

Pretty cool. I just wish I did Maths that involved using the functions...actually, who am I kidding? Of course I don't.

EDIT: Oh, and do you know how hard it is to get a screenshot with the screen on its side? I must have been trying for about 10 minutes to get the above screen... :pinch:

^ I was talking about different functions depending on the orientation of phone , smart it was for me.

Umm , on windows phone I just had to rotate it , press home button and lock button , and done! :) #SwitchToLumia xD

This is a cool feature :) and I have used it before! The programming calculator is particularly useful for quickly converting between Hexi and Binary

@Intrinsica, I think OP was referring to the fact on WP, depending on the rotation direction, will give u different operators which I am quite sure is 100% unique (don't own any other devices that do it nor know of any!)

When it occurred for the first time I panicked thinking now I can never use those trigno functions! :D
