DaDude Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 I dropped my Ipod on the subway today on the way home from work and now, it won't turn on. I guess the shock damaged the hard drive. I'm hoping to find a good, cheap MP3 player with rechargeable batteries that are replaceable. I'm hoping not to spend too much. No more than $60. And I'm hoping to get one with solid state memory as opposed to hard drive. And 8GB should suffice. I don't have that many songs. So, any recommendations?? Thanks! Oh, missed the part about the rechargeable batteries. iPod Nanos do last a very long time on a charge though, well depending how much you use the screen having the light on. In all honestly, I've had my creative zen vision:m since 2006, no issues at all with battery life, maybe it's at 80% of what it used to be. Then my creative xfi2, since 2009 and battery still going strong. The issue with lithium batteries is that they must never be fully discharged except once a month to recalibrate. DaDude Posted March 24, 2013 Author Share Posted March 24, 2013 Ok, I bought that Sansa Fuze+ Player. I've had it for two days and each day it failed to start up successfully. I had to do a hard reset to get things back to normal. Do the Sansa players freeze this often? My old Ipod did freeze sometimes but only a few times in the 7 years I had it. This Sansa player freezed twice in two days. Not sure if this is something I should just accept or if I should return it. I hate to return because I just recently returned a merchandise to Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I would hate to return again and give myself a bad record over there.
