haha nice image to go with the point :)

It might be a thankless job in many respects but I think everyone here appreciates the work the mods, the news team and the owners do, so keep it up guys and gals.

I hate seeing people bitch about mods because it's a tough task and, like you said, it's rare to ever see them getting thanked or appreciated. So yeah, thanks for all the hard work guys!

When I was younger I used to be moderator on every message board I could get my cookies on. :p

My feelings were that I'd just make sure everyone follows the rules, and that was the end of it. Everything else was just to make chat and contributions like everyone else.

At the end of the day you're all (mostly) volunteers. No incentive to do what you do other than because you want to.

They don't do it for reward, getting rid of the numpties is reward enough to keep the community going.

I don't get this thread, yeah moderators are great but I don't see why you feel the need to make a thread about them, they do it voluntary and they can always walk away if they don't get thanked.

Thanks guys.

Dealing with the troublemakers so Neowin is a friendlier and more inviting place is a reward itself; however, it feels good when people appreciate the work you do. This thread definitely put a smile on my face. We definitely don't do it to have a bunch of thank yous thrown our way but a thread like this is nice.
