Boxster17 Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 Am I the only one that is getting turned off of these forums due to the rampant 'fanboys' on all sides since we've found out more about them. People seem to get so defensive over consoles that we've just barely begun to scratch the surface on, and sling insults around because they get offended when someone disagrees with their viewpoint (or when they're unable to provide a coherent response). Maybe it's just me but it seems to have worsen a lot more since the X1 had it's official reveal and we finally know a bit about all three players for the next gen. Here's to hoping as we find out more at E3 that it will actually settle things down a bit more and we focus on the great games they can all offer us. Veteran Posted June 2, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 2, 2013 There's a big difference between stating why you prefer one console over the other and backing it up with facts than simply saying X is better than Y (because that's what I want). For most people, there's no need to get defensive. And for some, they feel compelled to shoot down any opinion that opposes theirs. Fortunately, the levelheaded people far outnumber the ones that have pledged their allegiance to one company. With that said, if you see insults being thrown around or a thread being derailed then please report the post. These are the kind of people you just ignore. If you cannot have a convo without getting upset or throwing out insults, you got a problem.
