Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

How about making a live action version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker? IMO that would be EPIC, especially if it were the UNedited cut (Y)

As much as I loved the animated version, they should leave that as it is and do original things with Batman Beyond. Much like they did with The Dark Knight trilogy.

This is really the only way they can do it tbh.  They need to introduce WW and anyone else through either a Superman or Batman movie, or in this case both, and then later do a movie for them on their own with a tie in to a big JL movie.

I don't see how that's the only way? I can easily see Wonder Woman have her own film before meeting up with either Superman or Batman. Besides, it would be pretty awesome to see her origin with Steve Trevor in it on the big screen. They can all pretty much have their own films before joining the Justice League. I mean, Thor and the other members of the Avengers didn't need Iron Man to introduce them to the general public.

Speaking of Thor, I think I'd rather see someone else play Wonder Woman since Jamie Alexander already plays Sif in Thor.

I don't think a WW movie before her intro in this movie will do as well on it's own, or a Flash movie for example.  We all know how GL turned out and that was just sad.   The first Thor movie imo was average, and as far as comic book movies go it didn't do exceptionally well at the box office either, it's on the lower end of the spectrum money wise compared to everything else.   The 2nd movie has had a better start though a bigger drop off after it's first week compared to the first one which says to me that it gained support from the success of the Avengers movie to an extent.   Something I think would act as a catalyst for a WW movie after people see her in Superman vs Batman.

And lets be honest here, Iron Man made Avengers a success, without RDJ and his Tony Stark I doubt that movie does as good as it ended up doing.    Can they do it the other way like you say?  Sure, but I don't think they'll have as much success as they can if they do it this way instead.   Let's be clear here, the studio put Batman in the MoS sequel because Batman brings in more money on his own than any other comic book hero so far.   The only ones who come close are IM and the original Spider-man trilogy films (the newest one didn't come close to those).    In the end WB wants to maximize it's returns and if they're going to drop $150m on a WW movie they want to do all they can to make sure it can bring in as much as it can in the future.

Well, GL turned out the way it did because of the writers/director. You're right that Iron Man had a big influence on the Avengers though. I guess they could have the introduction of WW in a MoS film, but I also feel a origin film is necessary for the characters besides Batman and Superman. If they'd use Superman and Batman films to introduce the remaining Justice League characters, it would become predictable as well.

I'd still rather have them do origin films of all the remaining characters before they get to the point of forming the Justice League. I mean, what would the reason be for Superman or Batman to be in contact with them besides a global thread?

I agree that she should get a origin movie, but that could always come after this SvB movie as well.   One last thing of note that follows on with what I was saying.  If you look at the IM movies,  pure box office wise.  The 3rd one got a nice boost in it's sales compared to the first 2.   This could mean be directly related to the success of Avengers and from what I remember IM3's trailers and even it's plot played off of the events from Avengers, sort of made it like a sequel of sorts.  I haven't seen the new Thor yet so I don't know if they used anything from Avengers to build off of but maybe.

I haven't seen Thor yet either but I do believe they speak about what happened in the Avengers. Specially Thor himself and Loki I bet. Perhaps they can have the DC characters have cameo roles in Superman/Batman films and then have their own respective origin film. It would be sweet to see Flash or Green Arrow in a Batman film.

Loving the last 2 titles of that list a lot. They both have a mystery about them and aren't necessarily about Batman. The others are kinda clich? for a Batman title.

^ since that post has been removed could you post the gist of it, just to put that pic into context?

They are building the barn I would imagine from Kent farm on the set.

I agree. Either would be cool.

I don't know about titles and all that but since the first one was Man of Steel then wouldn't the sequel also be Man of Steel with some subtitle after?   Why totally change it?

Because it's their sandbox?

Sure, and they can do it but you already built a fan base of sorts and marketing from the original.  This being a sequel it would make better sense to just build off of the first one instead of going with a whole new title.  Then people who haven't been following the news closely wouldn't know it's a sequel from the start.

Gal Gadot Cast As WONDER WOMAN In BATMAN VS SUPERMAN!

Variety report that Gal Gadot has landed ONE of the female leads in Zack Snyder's still untitled Batman vs. Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel..and that role is indeed, Wonder Woman! We don't have a whole lot more on this for now, but here are some quotes from Snyder: ?Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.?
