Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

I'm betting they haven't mentioned it because it's "obvious" at this point.

The general-not-into-comics public may not see it coming, but they'll understand

once the commercials start hitting TV saying all the heroes will be in one movie.

For those of us that do know our comics/cartoons, it's pointless to say since we

already see it coming.

Anyhow, I could very well see this movie ending with the heroes discussing a

team. Like Iron Man showing up in the Hulk movie end-credit scene hinting at

the Avengers.

I think that we're going to get cameos or very minor roles compared to superman and batman. I'm thinking 50-60% for superman with 30-35% for batman. The rest to be split by WW and anyone else. This doesn't make it quite a JL movie yet but the one after this yeah.

Well yeah, you're both right. Plus it's an original way for DC to introduce them like this. But it's still too mane well known JL characters in a Man of Steel film if you ask me.

I hope this won't happen though. The Justice League all met each other by change and not by a firm like S.H.I.E.L.D. wanting to setup a team. I hope they'll stick to that idea and that they'll stay an autonomous group. They have a very good reason to why they're operating from the Watchtower. So yeah, I don't really see that talk happening like that :p

Or it could be that Superman's surprise entrance, combined with an existential threat, causes closeted meta-humans, aliens, and cowls to come out. Perhaps near the climax.

That's basically how the Justice League got formed; because of a common enemy. But don't you think they'd all have been on the news already. For instance, Batman is pretty far into his career so I'm sure he's been on the news several times. I just think they're going to have a common enemy and Batman is just curious to who this Man of Steel is. Then again, maybe that's just too easy.

In the comics Sups investigated a vigilante in Gotham and it started there. IIRC Bats threatened to blow up a prominent citizen (Bruce Wayne) unless Sups backed off & helped his investigation and....

In which book was that? Because the first Justice League formed in The Brave and the Bold #28 and it wasn't a story that revolved around Superman and Batman.

Man of Steel #3 (1986), "One Night in Gotham City." Their first post-Crisis interaction, written by John Byrne.

Bats keeps Superman at bay with the threat of a hidden bomb that would kill someone in Gotham if Superman penetrates a defensive field surrounding his uniform. After the case is solved he reveals the bomb would have blown up Bats himself (Bruce.) Superman ends up perplexed, wondering about their relationship.

All I'm here to say is that Jaimie Alexander would have been a much better choice for Wonder Woman. In terms of acting ability, experience and having the right look.

Gal Gadot has done Fast and Furious, and absolutely nothing else of significance. She can not lead solo movie on her own. Zack Snyder dun goofed off. And on top of that she is skinny as heck. That's not Wonder Woman.

I am not convinced by this casting or about this sequel. If Snyder pulls it off given all I've read so far, he's a far better director than I give him credit for.

That's probably just about their first encounter then. The Brave and the Bold #28 is from the 60's and that's when the first Justice League was formed. It would be interesting if they took parts from Man of Steel #3 though.

I think it'll be a blend of elements from MoS #3, the first episodes of the Justice League animated series and New 52. The first MoS film already had elements from the MoS #1 comic (birthing chambers etc.) and New 52 (no shorts uniform, Clark's wandering etc.)

Work begins in Pontiac on Superman-Batman movie

Preproduction has begun in metro Detroit on the eagerly awaited ?Man of Steel? sequel with Superman and Batman.

Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac will play a key role in what?s considered the biggest movie shoot ever to land in the state. The studio complex is serving as home to production offices for the Warner Bros./DC Entertainment project. When filming starts next year, all seven of the soundstages will be used. The still-untitled Superman-Batman movie is expected to occupy the complex through August.

The superhero epic?s economic impact is expected to extend across the region. It plans to shoot at the Pontiac studio as well as at locations throughout the state.

?This project will employ more Michigan residents than any other film project has ever employed in the state of Michigan,? says Michigan Motion Picture Studios COO Anthony Wenson.

The article says "the main antagonist, who's likely to be none other than Lex Luthor". I don't see a Lex Luthor in Joaquin Phoenix at all!

Yeah but apparently the talk was Idris Elba for Luthor originally and that's a cool choice

New 52 supporting characters who have reason to be in MoS2 whatevertheycallit....

I'd J'onn J'onzz in one of the Man of Steel films! But no one said he'd be in this one ;)

Not too keen on that. I didn't like the fact that they opted for a black Kingpin in Daredevil either. I'm not a racist by any means, but changing characters in that way seems odd to me. I'd much rather see Brian Cranston as Lex Luthor than Idris Elba.
