Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

Stephen Amell really needs to have a cameo here and a full part in the Justice League movie!

Hell no to that if you ask me. His acting skills are great for a tv series like Arrow, but not for a movie like this. If Green Arrow and The Flash are going to be in the Justice League than I'd rather see them played out by other actors.

I'd imagine the suit is quite thick & bulks him up a good bit.

Draconian Guppy made it sound like Ben Affleck still had to train a #### ton for the role. But clearly he doesn't need to since he can already wear the suit as it is. Putting on more weight would probably make it harder for him to put the suit on as well.

I think Arrow should be in it, but not played by Amell, he's cool and that but yeah he's good for a CW show

Has to? He clearly already did!

Yeah I saw several pics of him floating around. I dunno, I just thought compared to that suit image, we was missing a bit :P

I don't think WB want's to mix the movie universe and the tv universe, pretty hard to do so now with what the CW did to Smallville etc.  So while it would be nice if the movies had tie-ins with their tv show counterparts in some fashion I just don't see it happening.   The movies will do it's own thing and have it's own actors, it's too late to bring them together now I think.

One of the things that I always hated about US comics is all the different stories and also alternate/parallel universe stuff, it gets way too complicated and I'm glad DC went ahead with the new 52 and a fresh start of sorts.  But even now, looking at Batman alone, there's what?  At least 4 different batman comics/stories that are going iirc.  I only follow the main Batman comic though I did start on Batman Eternal to, so that's two right there, plus Batman Inc, and others.   The reason I enjoy some manga more is because it's just one thing, start to finish (and yes they actually do end at some point) with maybe 1 or 2 spin-offs tops.  Less to keep track of for me, not as complicated/convoluted and so on.

The huge events from the main Batman book have repercussions in the other books though. Batman: Eternal will do the same since they're going to change Gotham for good in that book. I also suggest picking up the new Detective Comics from #30. They started with a new creative team and they tell their own stories, while incorporating the big things from the main book (like the other books do) but they're going their own way about it. It's pretty interesting so far, and it has awesome art.

And yeah, they're too late with linking the TV series with the movie verse. Personally I don't see the actors from the series at the same level as the ones that are going to be in the films.

As far as I know, it's a recent picture from him in the suit. That's why I was wondering why he needs to put on a lot of weight, while he clearly already has enough :p

Batman vs Superman plays their cards carefully

Batman vs. Superman cinematographer Larry Fong (Watchmen) has uploaded a very interesting image of a playing card embedded into a wall. Check out the image below!

As we all must know, the Joker is famous for his deck of cards. Although we cannot see the suit of the card, it could possibly be a hint towards the character's appearance in the upcoming Man of Steel Sequel. Of course, it could all be ludicrous. Share your thoughts or knowledge below!

First they cast Affleck as Batman. Then they tease the Joker being in the film. I doubt anyone will ever live up to Heath Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight. It's such a bad idea to put the Joker in this movie, because anything less than Ledger's Joker will be a disappointment.

I've always thought that Michael Pitt would have been a great Joker.

I was just saying this on Twitter, Heathus made it and died with it so let's not recast him but mention him that's alright.

You can't have Batman without the Joker. You guys need to let it go. That was a different Batman universe.

Technically not a Batman centric movie, if this was a Batman alone movie then yeah.

I don't think they should use Joker only because I would rather they change it up. By some of the logic I have read regarding this the Joker will never be able to be included in any film ever, because Heath Ledger was too good.

People made the same complaints when Ledger was cast as the Joker. Saying that, I'd be surprised if the Joker makes an appearance. He might be involved but not seen on camera though.

I knew someone was going to reply with this. Yeah, I was one of the people that thought Ledger was going to be terrible, but he turned out to be unbelievably amazing. In all honesty, do you think anyone could give another performance like that?

Sure I do, if they have their own take on it. For instance, I love Hamill's role as the Joker in the Batman: Arkham franchise and I could easily imagine actors like Daniel Day Lewis or Benedict Cumberbatch pulling it off.

Of course you can have a Batman without the Joker. Not all the well known Batman stories are about him and the Joker.

They should do a straight up The Dark Knight Returns adaptation and ignore any continuity ties with Man of Steel, it sucked anyway. But Affleck is too young for that version of Batman, and they want to actually launch the extended universe with this, so I foresee a mess that will just try to cram in some TDKR in it, much like The Dark Knight Rises.
