Accessing an iMac from a Windows 7 machine (printer sharing)

Both computers are on the same network as I can ping from either machine and get responses. But in the network browser I cannot see the iMac from my Windows 7 machine. Even using \\name of computer\share doesn't work either. I'm not a Mac user so I'm sure that there is something I am missing. I set up printer sharing (this is the main reason as I want to share a printer on the Mac so it's accessible to Windows 7 users).

 

Any help appreciated.

there are quite a few different ways to go about it - you could use samba, you could use cups and LPR - or you could go this route
