game_over Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I've got a TV to hook up to a computer but it has no VGA port so i bought a VGA to HDMI converter but can't get any signal. n_K Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I can't imagine that working, you get DVI to VGA connectors because there are VGA pins present on DVI ports, but as far as I know, HDMI does not have such pins. HDMI out on PC to VGA Monitor is what this adapter is designed for. To go from VGA -> HDMI you will need an analogue -> digital converter. Hard to say because the quality was already below average, it runs through various components and lots of cables (the computer it's connected to is about 50 metres away).. but works fine for what we need it to do.
