I have yet to download the update. Definitely considering it though. I prefer the Desktop.

Does that little glitch occur on the Microsoft store site that has you to download Windows 8.1? You have to confirm your Windows 8.0 purchase then choose to download the Windows 8.0 ISO, but then you cancel out of the download by closing all internet windows. Now go back and reconfirm and then this time chose to download Windows 8.1. Then when you are ready to install use this Product key first:

XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB for Professional

 

Then when you need to activate, you then change the product key to your own Windows 8.0 key.
