The PS4 Has Tiny PlayStation Screws Inside

original.jpg[

German site Computer Bild have got hold of a devkit PS4 and cracked it open. Their findings aren't terribly important to the average user - though it looks like swapping HDDs will be a cinch - but they did find one thing of interest.

Dat screw.

Such needless effort. So adorable.

Very nice touch. For something that no one will see. It's an easter egg!

This is the reason Xbox got its name because they can just use standard cross head screws and have the symbol already... money saving

They say it's a devkit, doesn't mean it's going to be in the retail version.

Nice touch if it does make it to retail... although if it does I see it being one of those feature that makes it in the original models, then is quietly removed in later versions.

Hmm, well if those appear in the retail version, then they're only hurting their margins with something useless like that.

Yup.

Why? Form over function is the principal of a good design  /sarcasm.

i love small things like this, like on the slim line PS2 the PS logo would rotate so that it would be upright no matter which orientation the console was in.

Was actually present on ALL PS2s.  I have an original PS2 fat (with the expansion bay) and the PS logo rotates.
