riahc3
Hello, I want to give a present to someone in form of a Blu-Ray. The person likes war themed movies and the first Blu-Ray I gave him was top movie which was "Saving Private Ryan". Any film similar to that to buy? Thank you

The Evil Overlord
I was going to suggest Pearl Harbour, but it's nothing compared to Saving Private Ryan or Band Of Brothers Warhorse might be a good one though +E.Worm Jimmy 1 Share

Nick H. Supervisor Posted November 2, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted November 2, 2013 Band of Brothers is a TV series, not a film. But it is completely worth the price, I don't think I've ever met anyone to not be moved by it. I'm thinking something like Black Hawk Down, although that is the 90's not WW2. There's also The Thin Red Line, set in the Vietnam war. Give me a moment to think of some WW2 films I've enjoyed. EDIT: Where Eagles Dare! What a film, how could I forget that! The Evil Overlord
~snip~ Ah, I believe it's a boxset, I don't think they made a movie about it, though I could be mistaken (Also, please please please, don't get the blue ray of Braveheart, I foolishly did that, it was just the original movie upscaled, nothing added)

Ironman273
Hello, Ah, I ment films, not TV series :) My mistake for not making it clear. Films, not TV series. Believe me as a present the Band of Brothers set will provide much more entertainment than a 2hr movie. I found my box set for the price of a Blu-Ray. http://www.amazon.es/Band-Brothers-Reino-Unido-Blu-ray/dp/B003YCOIFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383418704&sr=8-1&keywords=band+of+brothers szo, FiB3R and Cute James 3 Share
