Second Son and Titanfall are so unrelated, the only competition so to speak between them is sheer spending power - gamers that feel they need to choose one or the other, which is a completely legit concern. Beyond that there's no overlap. The closest X1 exclusive i can think of that may compete with Second Son is maybe Quantum Break, but that's nowhere to be seen or heard.

Its good that the big AAA exclusives are starting to come out, the console droughts are horrible. I personally have no interest in Infamous because I never played the first 2. Looks like an awesome game though, love the art style and the particles.

Inspired by absolutely. I actually helped a few GAFfers put beanies on their Avatars as well. Thought it was a pretty amazing organic little nod to the game honestly. Good stuff.

To be fair though, he wasn't the one that started the discussion on comparing the 'popularity' of the two games on youtube.

i really liked Infamous, but i'm just now getting around to playing Infamous 2. wtf did Sucker Punch do to the sequel? what is w/ the terrible, horrible, utterly impossible side missions? why in the world would they let users create their own? now im obligated to try all these side missions just to unlock new powers. ugg.

While I don't completely agree with you Jason, I thought it was good, just not so good that I'm going to drop the cash for a PS4 to play it. I hope both consoles do well and while excellent exclusive titles aren't the only thing they need, it sure helps. :)

Huh???? You absolutely did not have to touch a single User Created side mission in Infamous 2 to unlock everything. You can set a filter that shows only official ones created by Sucker Punch. They call it all UGC for some reason if I recall correctly, but you can skip the actual user created ones easily, and those have to be the ones you are saying are impossibly hard, as the regular ones were standard stuff.

I admit i have a bit of a soft spot for the infamous series, and it's good to see the PS4 have an actual decent game to play now. Might consider picking one up to play this if there are any decent bundles

Just wanted to note that this was 3.5/5, not 10. The review score looked out of place.  :)

 

I just watched a Twitch feed on Joystiq and it looks really good. This was the one game I was waiting for for the PS4, but now that it is here, I'm not sure i'm ready to get a PS4 yet  lol.

 

I still have a ton of PS3 games to go through

I do want to mention something, even though I like the game trailer, I'm suspicious of video games that use live action trailer with no actual game play.

 

Not saying it will be a bad game, or the graphics will be lacking, I've not taking the time to actually look up the game. This is on my may pick it up latter vs release games.
