Francis rages about Microtransactions

Recommended Posts

Isn't this the same guy from that MTG game freakout? This has to be an elaborate character he's playing. Maybe in the end, he'll reveal that he's actually Daniel Day-Lewis in a fat suit.

This guy is on a really short path to a really big heart-attack.

well spending all day on you're ass in a chair, most likely eating garbage, no exercise and being so pent up over XB1's bastardisation of supposed 'F2P' doesn't do much health wise :D He probably can't even see his penis anymore, which is pathetic at best Anyways, on topic. Micro transactions are from the devil! Way to go MS /s

It is, 100% fake but spot on most of the time. There are videos of him speaking normally (very cool guy, search for Boogie2988 on YT for a video about his life).

Is that revelation anything like hearing Gilbert Gottfried's real voice? He sounds like a serial killer.

Thanks for posting that, I thought there would be a 'normal' video, but I didn't find it before posting. I love listening to boogie, francis videos are a bit of harmless fun.

This guy annoys me.. But to an extent, he's right. I'm not into FORZA, but my friend is a die hard FORZA fiend. And it is a extortion setup. No doubt about it.

NBA is setup to nickel and dime you for credits as well, where every game mode has the "buy virtual credits" option in there

Marvel Lego as well.

You can progress through the game sure enough. But it's gonna take you forever to get the credits you need to really improve your player. You will never really get to experience becoming a superstar if you grinding it out. The amount of credits needed to improve your player gets ridiculously expensive as you upgrade. Whereas you can pay $2-$10 to become a good player, or pay $15-$20 and you are practically a star just like that. No having to earn stardom at all...

This is gonna be a long decade.

Nintendo takes an eternity to release one of their big games. But when they do, the value is there rather be on the 3DS or home console.

I am ok with microtransactions as long as that same item can be earned by playing the game.  I have no problem if people want shortcuts to unlocking character X or the 5th level car, just dont make it so you have to buy the item in order to use it in game.

I think they make pills for that.

For what? Being overweight and putting excessive amount of presure and stress on your heart? No pill I know of can fix that.

Francis is LOL, but it's so true...  Games are being made to be playable only if you buy things, unless you want to be stuck at the same place for weeks before being able to move on....

If a game is free and require some microtransaction, I'm fine with it... But not when you just paid $60....

I will not watch any of this guy's videos, until he loses 300lbs or so. This guy is going to die early if he doesn't make an effort to lose weight.

Forget about the guy, it's about the rage with microtransaction on a game you just paid $60....  Fat or not, he is right.

I am just saying every video he makes are like last videos before he dies of heart attack or diabetes, that is why I don't want to watch. He sounds like an intelligent person but he's on the verge of dying from his weight, its not healthy.

The guy has already lost 60lbs this year.

So he is trying to lose weight.

He makes some excellent points in his videos I think, and this monetisation issue is no difference. Think he deserves a wider audience tbh.

Your loss. That's a really pathetic way to go about things but it's your prerogative.

"This guy is fat so I refuse to listen to any point he has to make".
