rabidFan
shot taken during one of the many rainy days we've been having lately with a PowerShot A80. Note the cool effect the flash had on nearby raindrops. tagerd0g
A zebra playing traffic cop. It finally moved off after about 5 min. on the other side of the bus, a pair of zebras were getting frisky but by the time I was switched seats, it was too late. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/119405-the-neowin-digital-photo-gallery/page/73/#findComment-2328245 Share on other sites

QuarterSwede
The first of many from my recent trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. (It's nice to live only 45 min away, without traffic of course). Too bad I had to resize it; the detail is gorgeous ... and yes, that is a drainage grate. QuarterSwede
Another from the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Again, Taken with a 4MP Panasonic FZ10 and resized to decrease file size I didn't even know about these and I watched the opening on TV. I just thought that it should be seen (there are around 24 of them showing different stages of the war). QuarterSwede
Yet another from the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. This one is a macro shot of the wing of the plane in the previous post. QuarterSwede
Yet another from the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Again, Taken with a 4MP Panasonic FZ10, resized to decrease file size and levels adjusted. Each star represents a certain number of soldiers who died. QuarterSwede
Yet another from the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Again, Taken with a 4MP Panasonic FZ10, resized to decrease file size and cropped. Thanks to a 12X Optical zoom it looks like I had to stand in the water to take this picture. You get a really good sense of the effort that was made to make each star. QuarterSwede
From the Smithsonian Administrative Building Garden in Washington D.C. QuarterSwede
From the Smithsonian Administrative Building Garden in Washington D.C. Again, Taken with a 4MP Panasonic FZ10, resized to decrease file size. I'm thinking about cropping this one because of the chromatic abberation in the top right corner (blue fringe around leaf). Unfortunately this camera has problems with slight chromatic abberations in high contrast situations in macro mode. This is the first I've seen it.
