Kept the shutter open for 3 seconds in a moving car.

How many people here use a tripod, im seriously thinking of buying one.

I bought a mini tripod off eBay after having some nice pictures in Vegas at night come out like crap. Definately worth the money, those mini tripods are only around $5. I think they are almost a necessity unless you have an IS, but even those have their limits.

Here's one from Disneyland - Toon Town...

Only way to get good long exposure shots is to use a tripod. I picked one up at Circuit City a while back for around $20.

just some pics I took, it was snowing so I took out the cam..two are my backyard and the house if my neighbors. All were taken with a dimage z2

Hay I'm thinking of getting a camera to take on vacation, but I'm a noob when it comes to digital photography.

From the looks of it, the popular cameras people use are the Powershot, Cybershot, and Coolpix. What other

cameras are good and affordable (under $1000), especially for capturing outdoor stuff like clouds and sunsets?

I know its gonna take a lot of practice before I start producing poster quality pics like the ones in this thread; are

there any good online websites that help out noobies?

Here is one of my lame attempts at artistic shots with an old 3 megapixel Olympus, what do you guys think ?
