Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share the leaked shots of the new Touchwiz design for smartphones, different to the tablet UI. It's supposed to debut on the Galaxy S5. Which looks to be a powerhouse.

Rumoured specs

- 5.2 inch 1440p Super Amoled display

- Snapdragon 800 or 805 - Adreno 330 or 340

- 3GB of RAM

- 32GB base storage

- 3000MaH battery

- 16MP Camera

- Android 4.4 with new Touchwiz UI

- Faux leather on the back, similar to Note 3.

For me this looks leagues above the current Touchwiz UI, however I'd love to see what the other apps looks like, the settings app etc, the Notification shade.

If this real, it's not much better than the current version, and now where near as good (IMO) as their new tablet skin is.

It's the gaudy bright greens with horrendous dark blues I want them to get rid of.

Stuff like these.

Touchwiz sucks. Thats why I love android. Honestly this is a very minimal issue, and an even smaller improvement. With all the customizations and loaders android has available you can even make your phone resemble anything, including other phones. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Not sure if Samsung is saying they are no longer inspiring to be apple, in favor or MS, or what.

Sooner TW and other custom UIs from OEMs go away, the better.  This is a major bottleneck in why phones are not updated, or why it takes them a long time to be updated.  I hope to see more phones from Google, Motorola, LG, Nexus devices, GPE, and others...  All of those either have a slightly modded UI, or non at all.  All of which either have gotten KK, or announced to get it soon.

normally I'd agree with you, but since I started using my Sony Xperia ZL I've gained quite the liking to sony's theme & some of the features/apps they include (mainly walkman & the IR blaster)

and i rather appreciate that sony seems to take a little longer on their updates because they're actually doing optimizing on the back-end rather than just making their theme compatible

WTF, making an even larger screen? When will they stop the size? I thought the Note version was the bigger screen for those who want it. Its a phone not a TV screen. After 4.5 inches, the phone is just too big.

They make different sizes for each person depends on their hands size.

A friend of mine is a basketball player who has huge hands... he has a big phone ( such as Note or Mega ) that he can hold the phone comfortably.
