winxp internet connection sharing sucks....

Hi!!

i had differents beta version of xp, now i've final version :cool: , but i always encouter the same problem :right: :

Sharing my internet connection only permit to load MS webpage (hotmail, msn, etc...) on client computer, load other website is impossible (it found it, but don't load it :mad: ).

I've got PPPoE adsl connection, clients computers run on Win98 and WinXP Pro, exactlely the same problem on the two computers...

Very strange bug :s ?? Why i can only load MS webpage ???!!! If you've any suggestion, i hear u !!

Its called Antitrust my friend. something AOL has done to its Internet connection setup ages ago.

check the advanced tabs of ICS to see if its letting everything through..

Before everyone goes jumping to ANTITRuST conclusions, you might wanna check your settings again... I had XP's ics working fine on a computer that had pppoe dsl...it was sharing it with 2 other computers and I went to neowin while I was doing it :)

I run ICS between 2 XP computers without a problem unless I try and use a firewall in which case it doesn't work at all.

I run ICS Firewalled between two computers on XP, it works fine.

You may already know this but you have to set an "exception" for it to accept your ISP's heartbeat, if you are on cable.

I have used Zonealarm Pro latest version (supposed to be XP compatible but has problems for lots of people) and Tiny Personal Firewall latest beta and just cannot get it to let any ICS traffic through.
