Not really. It is more of an issue of unsuitable and violent content.

It would've been an opinion issue had they removed any blogs/news app pertaining to interest of any one particular side.

Glorifying genocide is entirely different to expressing a political opinion. It is in extremely poor taste. I mean, racism is a 'political opinion' too yet we're not going to see Google allow games that encourage you to hang black people from a tree or enslave them on plantations.

 

At the end of the day Google is a business and it is hugely damaging to its reputation to allow offensive content like this.
