Just purchased PS4. Recommend me a few games

Hi guys, just wanted to ask, which are the best games out there? I purchased The Last of Us Remastered but was not so sure of the rest. I tried reading PS4 forums but they are  all burning in rage with rabid fanboys of each game.

 

Any up coming games which can be recommended as well?

If you are a fan of FPS\RPGs, I'd highly recommend picking up Destiny - it's basically what was to happen if  Halo and Borderlands had a baby. Further to the shooter point, I'd highly recommend picking up Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare when it drops on PS4, I have had an absolute blast playing it on Xbox One - it's the game that brought me back into online shooters.

Exclusives to look out for are The Order: 1886 and Uncharted 4, but that is next years excitement.

Make sure you pick up PS+, you'll get access to two free games a month as part of the one yearly fee. It's great value!

Another vote for Destiny - It's the only reason I ordered my PS4 although The Last Us Us proved to be a worthy addition too!

 

LOVED the Destiny beta test and eagerly awaiting it's release on September 9th!

Tomb Raider definitive edition was a pretty good game, if you haven't already played it on other consoles. Quite enjoyed Infamous Second Son too.  Probably my favourite new game of this year has to be Wolfenstein though, such a good game.

If you haven't played it on the PS3 already, The Last of Us is amazing.  I agree with Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and inFamous: Second Son as well.

It really depends on what type of games you are into. 
From the PS Store, I would say Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty & Child of Light are must-buys.
Other than that, I would highly recommend Wolfenstien the New Order. Great graphics, but amazing story also for a 90s sequel. 

I will however strongly advise to stay clear of Call of Duty Ghosts, and NFS. Both are very underwhelming on the PS4.

UFC if you want to drink and play with friends, GTAV remastered should be good too. heard a lot of good feedback about Destiny for PS4

I'll probably get a lot of flack for this, but I would suggest Knack and Killzone. Not only are they true exclusives that you can't play on anything else, but they're pretty solid games.

 

For reasons that are incomprehensible to me, Knack instantly got bad feedback from the a large majority of the gaming community despite it being a great game. The game has no glitches, has a wonderful art style, solid voice acting, good platforming, and good gameplay. People seemed to write it off immediately because it "looked stupid/kiddy" and "was too easy". Not only is that hugely subjective (the game is rather difficult if you play on Hard without any bonuses), but Nintendo gets praised for doing exactly the same thing. /boggle I platinum'ed Knack around launch, and I enjoyed the game thoroughly.

 

Killzone was the same way. Somehow Ghosts reviewed better despite Killzone having a longer, better single player campaign and a multiplayer that was just as good. And it looks fantastic to boot.

 

I bought both of these game for full price at launch, played them to death, and enjoyed them both. If you are just getting settled with a PS4, I see no reason to ignore them; especially if you can pick them up for $30 each, brand new.

I would also add GTAV remastered to the list too, it looks amazing on the PS4 and appears to have exclusive content to our platform. Very solid games you picked thou.

Get Resogun too. I don't know if it's still free with PS+, but it's easily worth the money if it's not. They just released an update not to long ago that allows you create your own ships, and share them with the community too.

LOL.. I was joking..  PS4 is great console. I have Xbox 360 and One.

 

I plan to get PS4 someday so I can play games with my PS4 friends.
