After the recent Windows 10 Build 9860 update, my computer now seems to have an issue displaying some letters. For example, the new Action Center shows up as " oficitation" (missing the letter N). I can't see what I'm typing on any website and in the search bar. Here is what the Neowin Homepage looks like to me:

In fact, I'm not even sure if I'm typing this correctly or posting this in the right section. Does anyone else have this issue or does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the same problem . I cannot see what I am typinng as it is just a pile of crap. When I go to my email and scroll down my favorites the list just disappears.. This is happening on Firefox and Internet Explorer. Funny, the second line I am typingn is coming in readable. This is a MESS!

LINK1645, if you put your mouse next to the first letter of a line and press the left button and move it just a tad to the right as if you were copying the typed line will come in. I had to use my Windws XP laptop to get on here because everything in unreadable with Windows 10..

Just install the update from Windows Update and reboot. All should be well then.

That's great but we cannot read whats on the Windows Update screen when we click on it. It's unreadable.

Boo Berry, this is a problem. I cannot tell what to do to get an update.

Looks like you have some third party stuff installed (why does your start button look weird?)

Get rid of that and see if the issue goes away.

Click on "Check now".

I went to the Windows update in the control panel and it installed an update that took care of the problem. All is OK now.

Siah1214, that is the Classic Start Menu. It had no effect on it. This is one of the ways it can look:

So I rolled back to the first public build of windows 10, but now keeps saying there isn't a new build available. Is there a link to the .epd update file or some other method I can use to force it to install?

Its probably due to the fact that you themed it.

What's the point of your comment? It doesn't solve anything and it's just assumptions. I said that I rolled back to the first public build, which means I have nothing installed except for updates and drivers. Themes only changes the appearance of windows, it does not prevent you from receiving updates.

I fixed it anyways by doing a fresh install of Windows 10 from the iso and removing all apps (but keeping personal files).
