Sir Topham Hatt
Maybe I am infected with something, although all the links seem to go to the right places. I was on the beta version but downgraded to: Version 39.0.2171.27 m Any ideas? Thanks EDIT 1: MSE says "Preliminary scan results show that malicious or potentially unwanted software might exist on your system. You can review detected items when the scan has completed." - eek! Well, I hope it really has found something as it might explain the fact I can't drag and drop using the right mouse button! It drags slightly, then left clicks somewhere through the drag and starts dragging whatever it clicked on or draws a box. Perhaps I should give Malwarebytes a whirl too. Will update here just for closure. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1234011-google-search-being-all-weird/ Share on other sites

Sir Topham Hatt
All good now :) Obviously it was one of those things that was doing it. More to the point, I wonder how long they had been installed! techbeck
All good now :) Obviously it was one of those things that was doing it. More to the point, I wonder how long they had been installed! I have not had a shredd of malware on my system in a couple decades...or close to it. I do periodic scans of my system anyway just to be safe. Would probably be a good idea if you did the same. :) Also, use a couple different programs to scan for malware. Not one will detect everything. Max Norris
Judging by what was in the recycle bin, as a guess it was something you downloaded. Sir Topham Hatt
Yeah, a couple of no-cds. Ever since my cd player shredded my Red Alert 2 Yuri's revenge, I prefer to use them where I can.
