Stingray
As you can see in the attached pic, my VS (as happens with any custom VS) is different from the logoff window. Is there a way to apply the customized VS to it?? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123612-applying-a-vs-to-the-logoff-window/ Share on other sites

flyakite
Yes, you have to hack shell32.dll to change it, or maybe use WindowBlinds 4. Short of that I know of no way. Ji@nBing
it's not shell32, i forget what it is. msgina maybe? and yes, windowblinds 4 does automatically skin it (one of the things i like about it) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123612-applying-a-vs-to-the-logoff-window/#findComment-1474123 Share on other sites

flyakite
Yeah you're right, it's msgina.dll. Too much system file hacking lately is getting to me. Shell32.dll has some similar bitmaps in it though for some other dialogs, that's why I was confused. But yeah, hack msgina.dll. Also, if you've never replaced hacked system files, have fun. You can't just overwrite the old one :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123612-applying-a-vs-to-the-logoff-window/#findComment-1474153 Share on other sites
Ji@nBing
look arround and u can find some pre-made msgina.dll'sfound this one right here at neowin a long time ago. i find it goes well with most of the themes i use. replacing sys files is very simple, just use replacer . good luck. i'm sure others here can point u to where u can get some msgina.dll's Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123612-applying-a-vs-to-the-logoff-window/#findComment-1474167 Share on other sites

Stingray
Thanks for the answers. It would be great if when someone releases a Theme or VS, they would also release a matching login screen, and the msgina.dll It would be more work, but much better :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123612-applying-a-vs-to-the-logoff-window/#findComment-1474302 Share on other sites
