Recommended Posts

Well I'm going on vacation and I'm going to Australia (I'm from Canada :D ) I'm leaving on January 10th (if all goes well :p)

and I was hoping to meet some neoniens if possible. You guys could show me around perhaps? or tell me where are all the good spots are.

what really motivated me were a couple of Keylden's pics  there amazing... So I'm landing in Sydney first then I'm going to Adelaide, after that I'm not sure perhaps Melbourne? or great barrier reefs who knows :p

but any imput would be great.

cheers to anyhone who helps :)

Blue Bottle jellyfish most common, but they hardly appear.

Even if they do, lifeguards always have vinegar around to help out(nulls the sting)

Sharks, um, minimal. Hardly at all. I dont think there has been a shark attack/bite for a bit now, might have a attack every 1-2months and its generally in a area where there is no lifeguards.

thanks for the info Davey makes me feel better going out in the ocean :D how about surfing? I know you guys probably get ask a lot and all, but I really wanna learn that sport. any good place to do that? and in adelaide where are the good beaches?

are you travelling by yourself or with a group of friends, or maybe others that have been to australia before? If you're by yourself, make sure you check out everything before you go on a road trip, because if you get stuck in the middle of nowhere...... YOU ARE DOOOOOMEED

oh yeah... keep out of the sun

LOL thanks for the warning :p road trip huh.. not sure about that but I will be flying a lot, and yes I am travelling alone, but I hope to make new friends over there... such as Neoniens :)

I'm 25 btw... if anyhone is wondering.

yeah... I don't want to make it sound too bad, I suppose if you got stuck going to Ayres Rock (or however it's spelt), then you've got a good chance of being helped, since everybody goes there... but i don't know.. it's not like you're going to want to see a hard lump of dirt, when you can have the cities

If you can, definitely check out the Great Barrier Reef and go snorkelling/diving....well worth it.

oh sweet!! thanks guys... as for meeting, we should definitly all hook up! I can't recomend a place but I will be living around this area "Sussex St, North Adelaide" anyhone know where that is? is that a good location?

Melbourne is good if you're prepared for good/bad weather. Its been like 36C here today, but yesterday it was overcast and raining, f'ked up I swear.

Though if you do drop through melbourne, be sure to check out the casino ;) and perhaps the great ocean rd if you fancy a nice drive. Down towards torquey (cant remember how to spell the name), there should be some pretty good surf if your interested.
