Question
Praetor
So, i've been troubleshooting a couple of computers with Windows 7 x64 that had IE9 (cannot upgrade the browser to a newer one) and after installing Windows Updates IE9 just stopped working (crashes); it's pretty random: it can happen after a while, immediately after opening or while navigating to a site with heavy AJAX.
Also in other cases a single update caused problems with Office 2010 and Virtuabox (KB3004394), so have a special attention as well.
The following updates are the ones causing problems:
? KB3008923 ? Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: December 9, 2014
? KB3011970 ? December 2014 update for Microsoft Silverlight 5
? KB3004394 ? December 2014 update for Windows Root Certificate Program in Windows
? KB3002339 ? Unexpected dialog box appears when you open projects in Visual Studio 2012 after you install the .NET Framework 4.5.3
? KB2553154 ? MS14-082: Description of the security update for Microsoft Office 2010: December 9, 2014
Also the KB3004394 can make the computer/server to be unable to remove updates or to just fail to install newer updates. There is a fix for this, witch is installing a newer update: KB3024777
Guys, BEWARE!
