Also, I have a couple of sources on the ground to confirm. I have no answer to your last two questions. The girl is estranged from her mother, BTW. And why would she just up and leave him/her behind?Our Detroit area hospital delivers quite a few 11-12 year old mothers, from statutory or assaultive rape, pregnancy hiding etc., and yes it poses many risks. Some US girls are starting menstruation at ~8 with the average being 12.5, though some ethnicities start younger. That too could be dietary differences.
