Dopamine

Hey, could you go show microsoft how you got your color changing theme working?  They apparently need some help with that.  Windows 10 has officially made me sick of beta testing.  I actually need to test your program in windows 10 I guess....maybe later.

I'm using their API (if your talking about the "follow windows color" feature at least). I sure hope they know how their own stuff works :) What's going on in Windows 10 theming at the moment? I am only following it from very far away.

Oh dear  I'm guilty of the synapse one. The rest I have no idea :)

Just download and installed. Beautiful UI. No issue.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks!

I think I've detected the most peculiar bug I've bump into in a long time. If I have the application Radeon Pro loaded, Dopamine won't run. As soon as I close Radeon Pro, it starts without issues.

This is on Windows 8.1, I'll try it out on Windows 10 as well to see if I can replicate it there too.

That is strange. Could you check if there is anything in the logfile? Do you see the splash screen or is there just nothing happening?

So I've been quiet for a while. Work (the kind that pays the bills :)) sent me on a business trip to Austria, Vienna for a week :) So there was not much coding the last few days. A little bit in the hotel room, but mostly background cleanup stuff. From tomorrow on I'll be able to continue my work on playlists support. I think you can expect this in a week or two.

OK, so I've just tried to reproduce the problem on Windows 10 (build 10074). And Dopamine doesn't start either while Radeon Pro is loaded. However, I got this a couple of seconds after having tried to run Dopamine:

Great! You can find the logfile here: C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\Dopamine\Log

I'd just like to say that I've been using Dopamine for a little while, and that it's an excellent music player even right now, and can only get better as you add additional features. Great job! :)

I revereted way back to Windows 7, so my old games I like playing from 2001- 2009 work without issues.

in my quest for awesomeness, I installed dopamine and it works on Windows 7 with SP1. of course  Ihad to do a verification test by ripping Van halen 1984 and synapse worked flawlessly.

so just a heads up for you Raphael.

Ok, I'll look for it and I'll send it through a PM ;)

I've look through the log, but nothing is logged. I have no explanation why this happens  I'll log a bug and check out on the internet if such thing can happen and why.

I seem to get a "could not play this song" error on every song. And the songs played in dopamine just one minute before. I closed and then reopened dopamine and then this started happening.

That's strange. So your file used to work and suddenly they don't anymore? The errors you're getting usually happen when a file is not supported. On what OS is this?

Thanks Chris. Windows 7 is indeed supported, I'm using Dopamine daily on my work computer which is Windows 7 :)

Hi all. Here's the current state of the playlists screen. Adding songs to playlists is already possible, but there is still quite some work to do:

I don't know if before was reported this problem, but I will write about it.

The current Build 195 have playback issues. Doesn't play the whole tracks. Example: if the track is 3:21 minutes length, the playback stops at 2:55.

So from this moment, I'm waiting for a new build  :)

Would you mind sending me one of the files which has that issue? I'd like to test this out.

Sure, here's link :)

Thanks! Indeed, Dopamine doesn't report the correct size. I got the file. You can remove it now if you wish.

Sorry for lateness, but the os is windows 8.1 pro x64. The problem resolved itself after a restart. Info about what caused it would be nice though.  :)

Thanks for the feedback! :) Sorry, I don't know  :s  I'm guessing there was a problem to access media foundation for some reason. Because the errors in the log are the same as when there is a problem to decode the files. Maybe a windows update in between? But I'm really just guessing.
