fx Lady Gaga to star in 'American Horror Story: Hotel' as series regular

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Gaga will have a major role in Hotel, rather than simply making a cameo.

American Horror Story: Hotel is expected to premiere around Halloween with 13 all-new episodes.

While Gaga is primarily known as a multi-platinum popstar, she has acted in Muppets Most Wanted, Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Murphy and writing partner Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story franchise has attracted many major celebrities over the years, with Zachary Quinto, Joseph Fiennes, Neil Patrick Harris and Stevie Nicks among those who have appeared.

The American Horror Story series has earned 18 Primetime Emmy Award nominations during its four-year run.

Why not? She's strange enough to fit right in. That said, her performance of Sound of Music at the Oscars was a pleasant surprise.

I hate to say it but, she seems to actually have talent after watching her do the sound of music performance.

It was always obvious she had talent as a singer; whether she has talent as an artist is another issue entirely and debatable

 

But then, she's downplayed her music herself, saying she never intended to do anything original.
