135mm w/ 2 Pin PSU fan replacement?

Recommended Posts

So my PSU fan just kick the bucket. No matter where I look, ebay or Amazon. There are no listing for 135mm with 2 pin (black / red connector).

However both do list 135mm fan with 3 pin though :/

Maybe the fan on my PSU are not replaceable?

Using my Macyver skills, I install a 120mm on my PSU with zip tie. :s

Untill I can find a replacement fan.

BTW Its a HIPER HPU-4M880-PS TYPE M PSU bough it back in 2009.

And its still kicking butts.

I am looking at the EVGA Supernova 750W G2 if I decide to get a new PSU.

Anyone has this PSU? Mind sharing your thoughts about it?

This is the type of connector that is on my dead PSU fan.

Buy fan with 3-pin connector, cut the end off, attach 2-pin connector by either stripping the wire and soldering the 2-pin connector (ideal) or just twist them together.  Then use electrical tape, and done.  The 3rd wire for 3-pin fans is the sensor so it knows how fast the fan spinning, so just leave it.
