cbs Bradley Cooper to Recur in CBS' Adaptation of Limitless

Bradley Cooper is giving CBS viewers one more (very good) reason to check out the series adaptation of his 2011 movie Limitless when it premieres this fall: himself!

Cooper, who also serves as an executive producer, will recur as a sidekick to Jake McDorman

Well that gives the show a lot more credibility. I had assumed it was just a reboot or something.

I'll check this out, but if it's a sequel after the movie, then what's Coopers characters role?  From what I remember he was going into politics, this makes it look like that didn't happen or something, and he had also worked out a new drug that didn't have side effects etc, I'm wondering if they're basically undoing what the movies ending hinted at here.
