is there a known bug with network properties in 10041 or 10049?

I tried changing the DNS on this thing, but the properties button for both ipv4 and 6 is disabled so I can't edit the DNS.

I can no longer make the Store (beta) dark. Anyone else? Did Microsoft eliminate the light/dark theme?

Yes, it's a known issue and will be fixed in a future build. You can use the command prompt with the command (damn, I can't remember its name, but if you look for it, I guess it must be really easy to find) if you need to see or change any network related stuff.

Working for me.

Took about an hour to install for me. The download alone took about 45 minutes, though. Windows Update still sucks.

That should improve when they bring out the peer-2-peer updates.

Okay so here is the problem. MSE / WinDef is basically killing the performance of the VMs when they are on my HDD. When I recreated the VHDX and put it on the SSD and then installed Win 10, the performance as one would expect, up to pair. Mind you, this SSD is a system-drive and the HDD is just a storage drive, yet when doing whatever, WinDef is wrecking the disk heavily.

When on the HDD, the VMs literally lock up when trying to update WinDef, while the same process puts the SSD under a heavy load for several minutes before finishing and then performing as expected.

The build has been leaked, downloading now :D

That's cool. But I'll wait for an official build. Let us know how it is!

Rumour has it, that we may get our hands on build 10.0.10054.0.fbl_impressive.150401-1932 by next Tuesday through Windows Update on the fast lane :)

ok, can someone explain why the Modern UI calculator still has this bug:

Win10_calc.jpg

Windows 7 also had the problem:

win7_calc.jpg

yet a simple script I wrote in QBasic can do the problem just fine:

Capture.jpg

Capture1.jpg

...for verification that it was running correctly:

Capture2.jpg

It is odd that Microsoft still can not do a simple problem after all these years (going back to at least Windows 95...though probably since the inception of Windows).

Does anyone know why Calculator can not these type of problems?  Obviously the answers are easy...but still...calculator doesn't spit out incorrect answers on other similarly easy problems like 2-2

interesting... I just tried that in windows 7 and got this  seems like they are using floating points sqrt(4) -2  gets me this...... but sqrt(5) -1 gets me the right answer... seems the closer to zero the error shows up

it happens with any square root number which gives you a whole number ... and then you subtract it by that whole number (answer would always be 0)

Example being below...which gives you the wrong answer.

So, the square root of 9 - 3

Square root of 100 - 10

Square root of 26255376 -  5124

ah ha... makes sense, I just tried it real quick in win 7 to see what it did and didn't try more then the two examples given above
