I noticed they made the shadows back to the normal size, I'm not sure what build this was changed in but I don't like it. I really liked the big, yet subtle window shadows from the first preview build.

There are apps that I think are new, and they are not listed in alll apps, you have to search for them. They are just internal feature apps that haven't been hidden yet, nothing really

Accounts Control Assigned Access Lock app, AAD Token Broker Plugin, and Windows Default Lock Screen.

So, in 10056 some users get groups that can hold 3 collumns of tiles, other see 4, anyone an idea how this is determined?

I'd guess it's due to size of the screen or resolution?

I had 3 columns since 9926, on a 800x600px tablet but also on my 1920x1080 17" notebook... I would like to switch to 4 but I have not found any possibility yet.

Probably DPI/scaling too

In the Windows 10 for small tablets, I do not like the top bar spanning across the screen.

Sorry if this has been brought up before but can anyone change their Ethernet IPv4 settings?  I cannot get into it's properties to change my DNS settings :(

Yeah, it's been discussed before and it's a known issue. It'll be probably addressed in the next official build.

Fair enough, I managed to get round the issue using Powershell :)

Great, because it's still present in the build 10056.

10061 exists

Now that he confirmed its the latest build internally at Microsoft, hopefully us Fast ring people will see a similar build number pop up soon for us.

10061 yesterday got into the medium ring, this build is now in both fast and medium. I think it seems to be a good chance that it might drop to the slow ring (which is the public fast ring).

Nope, it appears to be locked.  Do you have HyperV enabled?

@Ci7 There won't be a "consumer preview". People claimed the Technical Preview 2 build to be a Consumer Preview, didn't happen, and as the Technical Previews are planned to go beyond Windows 10 for Redstone, it won't happen either.

Anyway, I think that either 10065 or 10100 is going to be the next build for Insiders, just lke we did get 9926 the build before 10000 for the TP2 stage.

Not sure if it was true, but after the January event someone on WinBeta said something to the effect of, "There's a reason they are holding back the consumer preview for later."

The main reason is that there is no Consumer Preview. The guys from WinBeta are also the ones claiming that the update we got back in August was Windows 8.1 Update 2, except of course that Microsoft has said that they didn't do that kind of things anymore in one big update and that there is no Windows 8.1 Update 2, it was planned at one point but got canceled. Some of their readers pointed this out, and one of the authors just went to Twitter to say bash on these readers. Also, they claim we're now on Windows 8.1 Update 3. But again: there hasn't been an Update 2 to begin with. WinBeta isn't the most reliable source when it comes to Windows updates, sure they have their good points, but as soon as a rumor goes out, they continue to claim it as a fact, even if all others have said its wrong, even when their reader pointed out that they where wrong (and they couldn't handle the critique).

I'm sure what MS says has more weight than what "someone" on WinBeta said...
