Right I've been an "Insider" since day one.

Well, contact MS on twitter and see what's up.

Gabe or whoever works in Windows support dept.

They may fix on their end or give you the steps to solve the problem.

Already tried that, it appears to be a wide spread issue - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5705-activate-windows-10-a-2.html

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4f48151c-b486-49e1-b982-431c2c29f1ce/windows-10-cant-activate-builds-10158-10159-and-10162?forum=WinPreview2014General

etc

Yep.

I think it's a Chrome issue since that's the only app I see it in, I thought it was DPI scaling but no change if I go from 125% to 100%.

I even just tried the phone activation, per here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_install/windows-10-pro-build-10159-activate-procedure/f7e3afae-5c8e-4ae2-9903-d77e64135c4c?auth=1

And they are experiencing difficulties and tried to transfer me to a rep. instead of the normal automated system. So they must be having issues.

Windows 10 has really grown onto to me to the point where I don't want to have to clean install 8.1 just to get my free upgrade. I wish there was a way they could just validate my Win 8 key and activate RTM when it's released and even give me an ISO download.

Same!

It's far better than Windows 8.

Not only Chrome... some apps have this problem. Firefox for example when that window is not active.

I have a strange problem on the search box. It seems to ignore one, and just one application. To be specific Dirt Rally. It's strange because the shortcut it's definitely there, I even checked inside the actual start menu folders, replaced, moved, nothing. It's like it's invisible, the search never finds it.

I am trying to install a SD reader driver that was made for windows 7. Windows 10 10162 is blocking the setup.exe. I already ran the setup with compatibility mode, disabled smartscreen and nothing work. Below the screenshot. Does anyone know how to force Windows 10 to install the driver?

Try to install Windows 8 driver instead of WIndows 7.

Go to your pc website... for example, if you have dell, go to dell.com for the drivers.   Choose Windows 8.x for drivers.

Edit: dang, I got beat..  [putting up fists at Xendrome]  :p

Is there no Windows 8.1 driver for that card-reader?

What is the brand of of the card-reader and model, I see it's a Realtek chipset.

It is made by Acer for the Aspire 5552 which is an old laptop from 2011

Does anyone know how to add Microsoft Edge to Adguard? I don't know where Edge is installed when trying to find it's .exe file.

Wow... no drivers for Windows 8.x.

Hmm.. try Xendrome's suggestion that you can go to realtek website.

MS said we wait until after RTM.

Adguard does NOT have Edge in Adguard support.. they will add it soon.

Unfortunately, with older hardware (especially laptops and notebooks), you have to sometimes modify drivers.

Big Pavilion (my older notebook) is fully supported by Windows 10 IP *except* for the graphics drivers - that is due to the orphaned-before-its-time nForce 7xxx/630a (the a stands, naturally, for AMD) chipset.  To handle the graphics side, I wound up using a modified INF for a far-newer version of Forceware (341.44) - unfortunately, like all too many GPU inf mods, Windows 10 has a nasty habit of putting the kibosh on them with Code 43 issues.  There are two other (and newer) versions of Forceware that can also be modded to support the graphics side of 630a - however, I'm thinking that the Code 43 is NVidia and Microsoft's way of telling you to replace the offending hardware.

The installation went successful but there is a problem. With the SD card driver made by Acer it fixed an issue commonly with Windows in which the hdd light will stay solid on when the sd card is inserted. When the old drivers were installed the issue went away. The new drivers from the Realtek website does not fix this issue.

Might just have to deal with it if you want it to work, or get a third party USB card reader.

Is not really a big issue because the card work and everything is fine, just the hdd light will stay solid on. Not a deal breaker for me.

Update: after few minutes solid on, the hdd ligh went back to normal :)

Anyone managed to get the logon screen changed? I don't like the new hero wp as a background.
