Speed test your connection

From the Speakeasy site I chose NY, and I'm in England.

2.7 mbps down

0.51 mbps up

Using speedtest.net

42ms Ping

3.07mbps down

0.51mb up

ISP is Sky, and we're paying for a 4mb ADSL package with an attenuation of 53 db (they're doing work on the line, and we're about 3km from the exchange)

^ wow, that must be sweet. :woot: How much does that run you a month ( I can convert it US dollars).

It's a 100/100mbit fiber link.

Price is ~85$/month.

That's not bad for what you get. I think I pay ~40/month for 6Mbit/512Kbit service.

Maybe not, and you get spoiled having such a link :p I could never go back to something slower lol :p

We're getting quite good speeds on our connection now (20Mb) the ISP recently moved us to a shiny new Motorola BSR 64000 at their Central Head end apparently. As the old Cisco uBR 7426VXR at Ashford couldn't cope with the demands any longer.
