I just check the speed in my router compared with a site that can test for the United Kingdom.

Down: 512 KB s-1

Up: 510 KB s-1

In 3 years, down has gone from 1.4 MB s-1 to 512 KB s-1.

Up has actually got faster by about 150 KB s-1.

So instead of improving it has gotten worse.

This any good? :-) Just got a new router and new Docsis 3.0 modem. Optimum Online with Boost.

Awesome download speed, but no offense (although I know you said it is a "boost" feature for download speed, that upload speed in comparison is just trash

  That's impossible :) The fastest OOL offers is 101Mbps, their ULTRA tier. I have Boost also and it's a good 40/5Mbps most of the time. (actual should be 30/5)

(Boost is not "speedboost" like Comcast or any of that crap to fool speed tests. You start off at Xmbps and continue that speed the entire download. I've downloaded from Microsoft at 3.5MB/s for the TechNet Windows 7 SP1 ISOs when those came out :D).
