winlonghorn
Download Speed: 16.81 Mbps Upload Speed: 730 Kbps Roadrunner/Time Warner (Northeast Ohio/Northwest Pennsylvania) I was told that within a month, my speed will be boosted to 50 Mbps download. :) Should be 100Mbps (accorded to the subscription) On subscriptions, don't they say "Up to"? That is an awesome speed either way! :)
Phixion
Got my new 100mbit down 10mbit up yesterday (Virginmedia). Will do a speedtest later when I'm not thrashing the connection :D I am reaching 12MB/s download from Usenet and Torrents, ~1.2MB/s upload, which is to be expected. primexx
Shaw just updated their Extreme package to 25/2.5 speedtest result is pretty flimsy. kubuntu torrent download is fluctuating between 2400 - 2800 kbytes/s bandwidth cap is still the same old 100GB/mo (ugh) but so far they don't enforce it... my usage this month is about 3x that :p

ISP - Sky LLU Speed - Upto 20Mb (but only getting 4Mb) Caps - Unlimited Price - ?7.50 ($12.40) a month Sorry, but before we even start this, we need to be clear about 'Caps', you say yours is 'unlimited', but is the FUP been enforced on people with high usage? Because it's my understanding that it is. Also, make sure you say 'MB' and not 'Mb'. ISP - Be* Speed Upto 24MB (Only getting 8MB Down/1.4MB Up) Caps - Unlimited (FUP hasn't been enforced on any heavy users, yet) Price ?

MB = Megabyte Mb = Megabit You have a 24 megabit internet connection, not 24 megabyte. ---- ISP - Virgin Media Speed up to 50Mb down/5Mb up (getting ~40Mb down/5Mb up) Cap - unlimited. The megabyte is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information storage or transmission with two different values depending on context: 1048576 bytes (220) generally for computer memory;[1][2] and one million bytes (106, see prefix mega-) generally for computer storage.[1][3] The IEEE Standards Board has decided that "Mega will mean 1 000 000", with exceptions allowed for the base-two meaning.[3] In rare cases, it is used to mean 1000?1024 (1024000) bytes.[3] It is commonly abbreviated as Mbyte or MB (compare Mb, for the megabit). Haven't read of any enforcements on the LLU service, and you better inform the majority of ISPs that it's MB, not Mb.
