Roger H. Veteran Posted August 5, 2012 Veteran Share Posted August 5, 2012 Cablevision's Optimum Online Boost Plus speed package (50/8). With Comcast and others getting speed bumps I can't wait to see if they'll double us also :) That would be sweet!

philcruicks
Seems a bit tight ! Anyway, its the down that counts really :) Depends what your doing, I now spend a lot of time away on business so for me upload is important (hence why I upgraded) so I can store all my content on my PC (getting a NAS soon) and stream it out to me on my laptop/iPad. vanx
Seems a bit tight ! Anyway, its the down that counts really :) Virgin doubled downlink speed for free, but upload increase is not in their initial effort. I suspect that it will be increased as areas are rolled out to have 120MB service.
Inklin
I got upgraded from 100/10 to 120/12 last night, As you can see VM gives a lot of extra fluff on the downstream, it's actually configured for 133Mbps though there is no fluff on the upload, it's configured for 12Mbps, with overheads you will never see the full 12. I have heard rumors that they may be giving 20Mb as an extra upgrade for the upload if you pay a bit more but nothing official. I am sure 200 or 240Mb will be out in 2013 though. Jub
I'm not even going to post a picture, because you'll just think it's shooped. 0.9 Mbit/s on a 120 Mbit/s line. Only with Virgin Media.

Jub
Tell them to get it fixed then ! Been waiting for a repair for little over a year now, and they've promised to fix it a handful of times, but it's been delayed every single time. Waiting for BT to come and install Infinity later this month, they just launched in our area.
