Download Speed 1012 kbps, Upload Speed 452 kbps.

I get my broadband from Bulldog (PIPEX UK) and its suppose to be 8mbps, thats what i am paying for but from what i can see its under 1mbps, i am less than a mile from a BT exchange and i have had a new internal and external telephone line fitted free of charge by BT Openreach.

Dont understand why my connection speed is slow, when it should be fast.

My router detects my broadband is 8064 kbps downstream and my upstream is 576kbps. i am confused.
