How to rebuild Search Index in Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Changing the location of the index on your Windows 10 will surely free up a certain extent of space on your hard disk. However, if you modify its location, Windows search service will be begun automatically and it does not function or come into its effect until the restart process is complete. Let’s see how to do this.

Note: If you want to change the index location on your system, you must keep this two things in mind

  • Determine a location on a non-removable hard disk which is attached to your system internally.
  • The choicest hard disk must be formatted implementing the NTFS file system previous to being applied.
