Outlook 2016 - Incoming HTML e-mails not displaying properly in reading pane

Question

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone could help me with this odd problem I'm having in Outlook 2016. Basically, any HTML e-mail I receive doesn't "center" properly, and so it will show half of the e-mail and I have to use the scroll bar at the bottom to move right in order to read it all. I recently upgraded from Outlook 2013 and everything was fine for the first few weeks, and I'm not sure what happened. I just opened Outlook one day and it started doing this. Even if I open the e-mail in a new window, it still doesn't display correctly. With some e-mails, it screws up all the formatting etc.. Zooming in/out makes no difference either.

I've attached a couple of screenshots so you can see what I mean.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem, your help would be much appreciated!

Having the same issue here after going from Outlook 2013 to 2016. Only happens with certain HTML emails - not all.

Mine stopped doing it after a while and then randomly started again, and so after closing Outlook and re-opening a few times it seems to fix itself.
