morphium
Argh shut up! Is that so important - VS or WB ? You all shout here like a crazy bunch of ants whatever.. does that really matter... i suppose everyone here is adult so pretend that youre smart.. it would be acceptable if i would troll about VS or WB.. but not the "cream" of Neowin... More than 1000 posts and you're still trolling about something unimportant.. cant you just shut up for one second ? <hr> Umm.. Yeah... ;)
pom
He's just saying some people looking at the front page may think it's a StyleXP theme and he was trying to clear things up. Obviously Visual Style isn't owned by the patches, but on a neowin forum VS generally applies to StyleXP theme over WB theme. Anyway nice theme none the less. If i had WB i'd use it but i don't want to get it just for this >.> Good job ^^
c242
If i had WB i'd use it but i don't want to get it just for this You get so much more with WB, not 'just' this theme. ;) Good job, Morphium ! To all the 'RIP !' people : Of course it is similar, it is a variation of the original Luna, You remember ?
Frogboy Administrators Posted January 3, 2004 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2004 I'm sure that there are people who call MP3's "Winamp songs". But I don't think anyone would recommend enabling such wordage. Similarly, calling an msstyle a "Style XP theme" is a slap in the face to the people at Microsoft who worked very hard for a very long time to 1) Create .msstyles as a format and 2) Develop the engine to run them. Style XP is the equivalent of one of those game cracks that remove the CD copy protection from a game. The difference is that people don't think that the crack IS the game. Themes, visual styles, skins, are often interchanged and there is no definitive definition on any of them. However, visual styles are commonly considered to be a special type of skin designed to change the look and feel of an existing GUI. WindowBlinds has been using the term visual style for years. Frogboy Administrators Posted January 3, 2004 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2004 BTW, great job on this Morphium. I agree, it looks similar to ReLuna. But I don't think there's a Reluna logof screen or please wait screen and it has toolbar icons. It has a nice clean look to it.

xRKx
I would try it too but not sure I wanna deal with windows blind again, it's such a resource hog, at least the version i tried years ago. Has it become better since? Hrm - well with SouLuna I'm looking at under 3 megs of memory usage? Pretty good to me, considering I can't even get the Themes service to run that small! BTW, Morphium - kick butt WB skin. It's nice to actually be /using/ WB again, rather than a .msstyle. ^_^
msbmsn
Thanks a lot, morphium :D Screenshot, for those who want to see. I'm not sure how accurate this is, as I haven't got WB installed, but apart from the fonts it seems to be vaguely okay-ish. There's a few problems with the scrollbars (forgot to set Transparentcolor), and various other parts of the theme, which I'll fix up tonight.
