Marcus Ericsson and Daniil Kvyat will both receive three-place grid penalties for the Canadian Grand Prix after stewards found them to be at fault for separate collisions.

Kvyat was awarded a three-place grid penalty as well as two penalty points on his license for avoidable contact with Kevin Magnussen, while Ericsson was given the same punishment for colliding with his team mate later in the race.

The penalties leave Ericsson with six penalty points on his super license, while Kvyat currently has seven. Any driver who receives 12 points in a single 12 month period will receive a one race suspension.

Kimi Raikkonen was also investigated after the race following his collision with Romain Grosjean, but no further action was taken by the stewards.

Yep, that first section I was thinking oh god this track is horrible!

I'm not a fan of it overall at the moment, it looks too thin a track to provide any decent overtaking other than maybe a drag race into turn one but time will tell.

25 mins left to the start. gonna enjoy this race especially since it's my favorite track.

Yeah, it's one of my favourites on the calendar, too, for a fairly obvious reason (besides being one of the best tracks around). :p

Watching it a lot of teams were running different setup's low vs high downforce as they try adn learn the track, hence the 0.5+ a sec difference between a lot of team mates.
