TruBD
ok i had problems with my comp which caused me to reformat. b4 i did that i backed up a couple of stuff, including my pictures folder. after i resintalled windows i replaced my pictures folder with the one i backed up. now when i look at it all the images are greyed out. it doesnt affect the actual image itself just the thumbnail view i see. the image that isnt greyed out is one that i saved after the format. any clue as to y its doing this? Rivak
There's a hidden file called thumbs.db in that folder, delete it and your problem will go away. scumdogmillionaire
what likely happened is before you reformatted you had changed the option to have higher quality thumbnail previews. when you reformatted this setting reverted to default and the images now look like that. Like Rivak said, deleting thumbs.db in that folder (and any other folder with an image that has a preview) will solve the problem.
