If, on the other hand, you mean "best for you", then NO sport is healthy for you -since all involve some sort of risk to your health. Be it injury, psychological or whatever. keep eating those chips then! Soccer is by far the most expensive.... as for keeping you fit i have to say it's probably swimming.... even though my favourite sport is soccer (FOOTBALL!!) Attendance is outstanding, merchandise sells like crazy, and the parity in the league keeps more teams in the race longer into the season, making for even more interest and revenue. The NBA is a distant second and is closely followed by baseball as of october. And just look at the salaries...my God, the NBA is like 1/10th the physical demand the NFL is. When have you heard of an NFL star getting $120 million dollar contracts? Shoe endorsements, jersey sales... One thing about the NFL is almost all games are sold out no matter who plays. And their TV contracts are far more lucrative. But, I think if you factor in worldwide revenue, the NBA wins. I would say it produces the most physically fit athletes (except for a few cases in the heavier weights) but they take alot of mental damage so negating healthiness.
