Can you backup your firefox & chrome bookmarks without actually accessing the browser?

As per my last thread i can't access the hard drive that has these bookmarks on there although i can access the drive via another drive. 

 

If there's no way of repair & i'm looking at a clean install then is there any way i can grab the bookmarks so i haven't lost them?

Not sure about Chrome, but Firefox should be accessible in the file system. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

Just migrate to C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ProfileName.default\bookmarkbackups.

 

Make sure hidden files are open and the XXXXX is your user name. The ProfileName would be the alpha numeric Firefox profile.

locally, they're stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default in a file called Bookmarks (there's no extension on the file)

Just backup the mozilla folder under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\,  that's your whole profile.

 

Chrome's files are stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\local\Google\Chrome.
