Corvid19 Posted December 10, 2016 Share Posted December 10, 2016 Anyone else been having problems with Windows 10 boxes reporting that the "Ethernet has a invalid IP configuration" in the last few days? Iv'e seen several machines on very different networks have the same problem this week. It's a certainly a mystery.. Erick44 Posted December 11, 2016 Share Posted December 11, 2016 The solution that worked for me is doing a "Shutdown" while holding the shift key. This forces the PC (in this case a portable PC) through a complete boot cycle. And how many of those people first tried to correct the issue by shutting their computer down and turning it back on? Because neowin members tend to think that nobody is that stupid and everybody restarts their computer by selecting restart and not shut down. I assist the Help Desk at my job and can tell you when have to tell someone to restart their PC they almost always shut it down (because that's what they do at the end of the day).
